Fudan University, Department of Atmospheric and Oceanic Sciences Seeks to Hire a PostDoctoral ResearchAssociate
Title: PostDoctoral Research Associate
Location: Fudan University, Department of Atmospheric and Oceanic Sciences, Shanghai, CN.
Time Period: Two years. Position is available immediately and will remain open until filled.
Duties of the position: Department of Atmospheric and Oceanic Sciences at Fudan University is seeking a postdoctoral research associate, who will mainly engage in a project to understand the effect of urban areas on regional climate, as well as the impact of regional climate change on cities, using regional climate models (RCMs) accounting for urbanization. The researcher will participate in the Flagship Pilot Study (FPS) URBan environments and Regional Climate Change (URB-RCC), which is officially endorsed by the World Climate Research Programme (WCRP) Coordinated Regional Climate Downscaling Experiment (CORDEX). The researcher will be supervised by Dr. Jiacan Yuan.
Required qualifications:
(1) Ph.D. in Atmospheric Science or other related research field;
(2) Experience in regional climate diagnosis and modeling;
(3) Excellent English reading and writing skills.
