Qiyan Lin

Master student (2020-2022)
Ph.D. student (2022-)

I spent 2 years in the Department of Atmospheric and Oceanic Sciences at Fudan University where I pursued a Master’s degree and will continue my studies for a Ph.D degree. I am broadly interested in climate dynamics and climate extremes. I graduated from Sun Yat-sen University with a Bachelor’s degree in Applied Meteorology in 2020.

Linhui Li

Ph.D. student (2023-)

I am a Ph.D. student at Fudan University, majoring in atmospheric science, with broad interests in climate dynamics, extreme weather and influence of global warming. My current research focuses on interactions between tropical air-sea system and Arctic air-ice-sea system, particularly investigating their responses to global warming and corresponding impacts on extreme weather. Prior to Fudan University, I got my master’s and bachelor’s degree in atmospheric science from China University of Geosciences (Wuhan) and Nanjing University of Information Science and Technology, respectively.

Yuanhao Chen

Ph.D. student (2024-)

I am a PhD student in the Department of Atmospheric and Oceanic Science at Fudan University. My research interest lies on urban climate effect, primarily focusing on the future urban climate change and the impact of urbanization on heatwave events . I graduated with a master’s degree in Environmental Science and Engineering from Nanjing University of Information Science and Technology in 2023, and obtained a bachelor’s degree in Atmospheric Science (Atmospheric Environment) from the same university in 2020.

Xinghan Liu

Ph.D. student (2024-)

I am pursuing a PhD in Atmospheric Science at Fudan University. My research interest is the impact of sea level rise on the coastal areas of mainland China in the context of global warming. I graduated from the College of Meteorology and Oceanography at the National University of Defense Technology in 2024 with a B.S. in Atmospheric Science.

Tao Su

Ph.D. student (2025-)

I am pursuing a PhD in Atmospheric Science at Fudan University. My research interests focus on the characteristics of heatwaves in response to global warming and their health impacts. I graduated from Hehai University in 2025 with a Master’s degree in Hydraulic Engineering. In 2022, I graduated from Yangzhou University with a Bachelor’s degree in Hydraulic and Hydropower Engineering.

Meng Su

Ph.D. student (2025-)

I am currently pursuing a PhD in Atmospheric Science at Fudan University, with a research focus on the relationship between extreme humid-heat events and human health. I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Meteorology from the School of Atmospheric Science at Nanjing University of Information Science and Technology, and am now furthering my academic journey at Fudan through doctoral research.

Master student

Jin Xing

Master student (2022-)

I’m pursuing a Master’s Degree in Atmospheric Science at Fudan University. My research interest lies in the dynamic sea-level change. I plan to use a recalibrated two-layer emulator to further study non-linearities and non-stationarity in the relationship between DSL and global-mean warming and then better project future DSL and local sea-level changes for different scenarios. I graduated from Sun Yat-Sen University with my bachelor’s degree in Applied Meteorology in 2018. Prior to Fudan University, I spent 3 years in Anhui and Beijing where I both worked in meteorological and hydrological security.

Siyang He

Master student (2023-)

I’m pursuing a Master’s Degree in Atmospheric Science at Fudan University. My research interest lies in the impact of urbanization on extreme heat waves in the Yangtze River Delta. I have studied the contribution of land use effect and anthropogenic heat effect to the extreme heat wave of July 2022 by the Weather Research and Forecasting (WRF) model coupled with the Urban Canopy Model (UCM). I graduated from Sun Yat-Sen University with my bachelor’s degree in Atmospheric Science in 2023.

Qing Feng

Master student (2024-)

I’m pursuing a Master’s Degree in Atmospheric Science at Fudan University. My research interest focuses on the impact of climate change on human health in urban areas. I am currently investigating how thunderstorms influence asthma rates in the Shanghai region. I have analyzed the relationship between cold wave occurrences and cardiovascular disease incidence using meteorological and health data. I graduated from Nanjing University of Information Science and Technology with my bachelor’s degree in Atmospheric Science in 2024.
